Administrative Building

  • Rehabbed space and converted to office space

  • Demolished and constructed new front steps and railings

  • Added new generator circuits throughout to power all offices

  • Created new server room with dedicated AC

  • Replaced 1,200 slate roof tiles & installed snow rails over all exterior entrances

  • Installed boiler controls to reduce oil consumption


Blacksmith Shop & Old Maintenance/Farm Building

  • Demolished buildings following fire and leveled site


Complex

  • Excavated and constructed sidewalk between nursing home & courthouse

  • Created master garden area in vacant lot, gazebo & footbridge between nursing home and courthouse

  • Drainage & Erosion Project (installed new catch basins, storm drains, infiltration ponds, sheet-pile and concrete segmental walls, reconstructed embankments and restored access road to Howard Island)

  • Installed complex sewage meter

  • Constructed water storage tank and distribution system

  • Rerouted and reconstructed water tank access road

  • Eliminated generator, transferred load to adjacent generator and created new switch gear room with new automatic transfer switch to eliminate safety deficiency identified by NH Dept of Safety

  • Installed new flagpoles at nursing home, Community Corrections and cemetery

  • Completed complex-wide energy audit

  • Conducted hydrogeological test/study of county property to determine feasibility of drilling wells for county owned municipal water system for complex


Courthouse

  • Replaced carpet in main lobby, back hallway, main stairway, Corrections & Probation office, County Attorney office, Dispatch and Sheriff’s Dept offices

  • Replaced DDC system that controls & monitors building HVAC equipment

  • Revamped old Registry of Deeds vault & office space, relocated generator switch gear & created new dispatch center and radio room with dedicated AC systems

  • Gutted old Corrections & Probation offices and created an enlarged County Attorney office with glass partition & service counter

  • Refurbished old UNH Extension office for Corrections & Probation

  • Removed old ballasted roof and replaced with EDPM rubber membrane roof

  • Connected boilers, pumps and other essential equipment to emergency generator

  • Replaced outside transformer feeding building

  • Upgraded majority of lighting from T12 to high efficient T8 lighting

  • Replaced carport furnace

  • Fabricated & installed safety panels in stairway and balcony railings, extending height and closed in large openings to eliminate fall hazard


Department of Corrections

  • Renovated medium unit & installed new stainless steel toilet/sink combos

  • Constructed sleeping and shower area in 1930 Building to house minimum security inmate farm help

  • Constructed sleeping and shower area in old recreation room in basement for segregation unit inmates

  • Constructed sleeping and shower area in main basement area for minimum security inmates

  • Gutted and re-plumbed pipe chase between segregation & lock block

  • Constructed laundry facilities in women’s and minimum security housing areas

  • Renovated kitchen so jail could serve meals in-house

  • Upgraded T12 lighting in 1988 addition to energy efficient T8 lighting


Farm

  • Gutted old wiring in barns and completely rewired the cow and pig barns

  • Installed fire alarm systems in the cow and pig barns

  • Stripped old asbestos roofs off barns and corn crib and replaced them with standing seam roofs

  • Constructed new silage bunker, paved bunker aprons, installed catch basins and infiltration pond to correct drainage problem

  • Installed new electrical service to heifer barn

  • Gutted old water line system in main barn and installed new one

  • Demolished old cupolas on cow barn and constructed new ones

  • Closed in and finished off lean-too on south end of cow barn

  • Constructed new lean-too on south side of pig barn

  • Designed & GC’ed construction of new maintenance/farm building


Nursing Home

  • Rehabbed 69 Building and constructed 03 addition

  • Installed in-ground grease trap

  • Installed dedicated AC system in server/telephone room

  • Installed AC systems that provide cooling to laundry, kitchen and dining room areas

  • Cleaned HVAC ducting throughout

  • Added sprinkler coverage to outside overhangs

  • Installed numerous fire dampers, fusible links, access panels and hatches to correct numerous deficiencies

  • Installed new maglock keypads throughout

  • Installed lighting controls throughout

  • Installed ozone injection system in laundry to reduce energy consumption

  • Installed boiler controls to reduce oil consumption


Vehicles & Equipment

  • ¾ ton pickup with 8’ plow

  • Man-lift lift with 60’ articulating boom

  • JD4115 tractor with bucket, blower, broom and York rake

  • Industrial inventory cabinets & shelving for maintenance shop

  • Replaced wood shop equipment lost in fire
