Job summary: Under the general supervision of the Officer in Charge, Correctional Officers are responsible for providing care, custody, and control over sentenced and pre-sentenced male and female inmates at the facility.

Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent; must possess a valid driver’s license; must meet physical fitness requirements on a yearly basis; must meet all

physical and mental requirements as required by the New Hampshire Retirement System. Candidates must submit to a thorough background investigation and criminal record check. Job summary: Assists residents and nursing staff with care duties such as making beds, stocking resident items, passing and clearing meal trays, answering call bells and filling water pitchers. Position will be required to take and successfully pass the Paid Feeding Assistant course.

Assistant County Attorney

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the County Attorney, the Assistant County Attorney is responsible for the prosecution of felonies, misdemeanors, and probation violations in a just, effective, ethical, and efficient manner, upholding the laws and rules of the State of New Hampshire and the United States of America.  The Assistant County Attorney is also responsible for advice and counsel to police, program development, law enforcement training, community relations, and legislative recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school. The necessary training, education, and experience to exercise appropriate judgment, discretion, and decision making. A licensed member in good standing with the New Hampshire Bar. Knowledge of criminal prosecution.  In depth knowledge of the Rules of Evidence, Court Rules, the New Hampshire Criminal Code, and New Hampshire’s Criminal Justice System.  Ability to effectively analyze information in a short period of time.  Strong written and oral advocacy skills. Computer and technology skills necessary for modern litigation practice.  Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to establish positive public relations, and to interact effectively with people at all levels.
