Job summary: Under the general supervision of the Officer in Charge, Correctional Officers are responsible for providing care, custody, and control over sentenced and pre-sentenced male and female inmates at the facility.

Qualifications: High School graduate or equivalent; must possess a valid driver’s license; must meet physical fitness requirements on a yearly basis; must meet all

physical and mental requirements as required by the New Hampshire Retirement System. Candidates must submit to a thorough background investigation and criminal record check. Candidates must successfully pass the physical fitness test. Candidates may appear before an Interview Board and may be required to pass a written test.


Cook Department of Corrections

Job summary:  Under the direction of the Support Services Coordinator, coordinates and prepares meals in accordance with established policies and procedures and dietary requirements.

Qualifications:  Must possess a valid driver’s license. Case Manager/Alternative Sentencing Program

Case Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Case Manager Position conducting duties and activities for the Drug Court, Mental Health Court and Juvenile Diversion Program will be coordinated under the general supervision and direction of the Director of Alternative Sentencing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Position requires minimum of Associates Degree and minimum on 1 year experience in related field or combination of education and experience. Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work individually and as a team member.  Ability to maintain effective listening, observation and communication skills.  Must be able to communicate with difficult people and stressful situations.  Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to establish positive public relations; and ability to interact with a wide variety of people.  Ability to maintain confidentiality.
